By using the facility of NepalRemit
®, the remitting agency and its customers will be able to transfer funds to be paid against beneficiary's photo identification card or be credited to the beneficiaries account with any commercial bank and its branches within Nepal
(see list of banks/branches).
Funds transferred through NepalRemit
® are on real time basis. The system will automatically generate a Transfer Reference Number (TRN) and for each TRN a unique Access Code Number (ACN). The ACN is a secret number, which the remitter will pass on to the beneficiary. Based on the correctness of the ACN, funds will be delivered to the beneficiary.
- The remitter will fill out the transfer request form at the Remitting Agents location providing all required details such as beneficiary name, contact number, ID detail and place of payment along with the amount to be remitted. The remitter will make necessary payments in local currency to the Remitting Agent.
- Based on the information provided by the remitter, remitting agent will enter all details into the system. Upon completion of data entry and verification, the Remitting Agent will print a remitting advice from the system, which shall consist the TRN and ACN respectively.
- Once the process is completed at the Remitting Agents location, an email alert indicating that a transfer has been initiated along with the amount payable, will be transmitted to the Head Office and paying agent in Nepal. This facilitates the paying agent to be prepared for the beneficiary to come and collect the amount.
- The remitter will pass the ACN (secret number) to the beneficiary and advice location in Nepal for collection of fund.
- Upon receiving the ACN, the beneficiary can contact the paying agent in Nepal and easily collect the money by providing the ACN and his/her ID.
- If the remittance has been made to credit the beneficiaries account, our Head Office will do so without waiting for the beneficiary to contact us, within the next working day of the bank.
- The remitting agent will NOT have access to any data nor will be able to view the details unless the correct ACN has been provided by the beneficiary.
- Once the payment to beneficiary is completed or the beneficiaries account has been credited, the paying agent will close the file, which, in return, will automatically transmit an email alert to the Head Office and Remitting Agent that the transfer has been completed.
- The system facilitates the Remitting Agents to view the transfer status by providing TRN.
- The transfer is fully secured as the system is protected by Verisign and uses 128-bit encryption.
- The system facilitates report generation for transfers which has not been collected by the beneficiary. If the remitter has provided a contact number, the agent will inform such beneficiaries to come and collect the funds with the secured ACN number.
Based on the information provided by the remitter, the funds can be received in the following manners:
